Meet Your Groomer!

Hi! My name is Rachael Jones and I've been a professional dog groomer for 11 years. I absolutely love what I do and I honestly can't imagine any other career for me (except maybe for a professional millionaire and that's sooo not going to happen any time soon!), I truly get such a joy out of grooming my little furry friends!

I don't like to rush, infact I'm rather slow but most dogs seem to prefer that. I find grooming to be very relaxing and calming which for me (and most of the dogs as well) produces a nice positive energy flow. Of course, there ARE those few cantankerous doggies who would rather watch me jump off a cliff than have me put them through a bath and a haircut, hahaha! (Yeeeah, you know who you are! Naughty doggies!)

As for my career, I was trained and finished by professional dog stylist Lora Hudson, and together we groomed for Dr. Ewert of Grandview, MO for 9 wonderful years! I also groomed for Jen and Doug Skivers of Aubry Animal Clinic in Stilwell, KS for several months. After taking a break to have a baby, I have decided to work from home and offer professional grooming at a VERY comfortable price, and I've even had clients argue with me that I'm under charging!

Aside from grooming, I'm also a level I and II Reiki practitioner. Reiki (pronounced Ray-Kee) is a form of stress reduction and relaxation which aids in healing of the energy, mind, and spirit. If I'm not busy grooming, you can usually find me taking care of the many animals here on our farm, from chickens, goats, and ponies, or hanging laundry on the line, or tending to the herb and vegetable garden. Mmmm........veggies!
